My background
I began my career in the United States, earning my degrees from Columbia University in New York first as a Registered Nurse and then as a Family Nurse Practitioner (Board Certified) with a particular passion for women's health. I worked in diverse, underserved communities, gaining valuable clinical and human experience that continues to shape my practice.
My journey into midwifery began after I moved to Italy with my husband and became the mother of two wonderful boys. During my first pregnancy, I came to truly appreciate the vital, empowering, and deeply personal care that midwives provide. That experience not only opened my eyes to the profound impact of midwifery, but it also inspired me to expand my clinical training and strengthen my commitment to supporting women throughout pregnancy and motherhood. So I completed my degree in Midwifery at the University of Milan and graduated just in time before having my second son. Since then, I have worked in the Labor & Delivery department of a major hospital here in Milan.
I am also an Certified Lactation Specialist which allows me to provide personalized, evidence-based support for both common and complex feeding challenges.
